To make this dish, you’ll need a few ingredients: butter, garlic, bacon, mushrooms, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. You’ll also need some pasta of your choosing – I recommend a long and thin variety such as spaghetti or linguine.
Instructions:
Before you get started, take your pasta and place it in a pot filled with salted water. Cook until al dente, then remove from the heat and strain. Let sit while you continue with the rest of the preparation.
In a separate skillet, melt two tablespoons of butter. Add two cloves of minced garlic to the skillet and let them simmer over medium-low heat until fragrant, about two minutes. Then, add six slices of bacon and cook until golden and crispy. Once the bacon is cooked and the fat is rendered, add 16 ounces of sliced mushrooms and continue to cook over the same heat for about five minutes.
Then turn the heat up a bit and, if needed, add a bit of extra butter. Pour in one cup of heavy cream and add 1/2 cup of freshly-grated Parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste and stir until everything is melted and creamy.
Finally, add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix thoroughly with the sauce. Let everything cool down for a few minutes and serve with an extra grating of Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
