This 15-minute Lemon Shrimp Pasta recipe is an easy and delicious way to turn some ordinary ingredients into something extraordinary. The flavorful lemon and garlic together with the succulent shrimp and the pasta creates the most amazing dish. Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces uncooked penne pasta
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
Instructions
Place a large pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Add salt to the water, then cook your penne pasta according to the package directions. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chili flakes and garlic and cook for 1 minute or until the garlic is fragrant and golden. Avoid burning or the garlic will become bitter.
Add the wine, lemon juice, chicken broth, salt, and black pepper and cook for 4-5 minutes to reduce the sauces. Add the shrimp to the sauce and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked through. Add the parsley and cooked pasta and stir to combine. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until it melts.
