When it comes to quick and easy to make lunch ideas for kids, then it got to be the Bell Pepper and Peas pasta. It’s both delicious and healthy for your children to enjoy.
Ingredients
- One onion, diced
- Two bell peppers, diced
- Two tablespoons of olive oil
- ½ teaspoon of red chili flakes
- One and a half cup of boiled peas
- One tablespoon of lemon zest
- Personal taste of garlic and oregano
- Salt according to personal taste
- One cup of cooked elbow macaroni
Instructions
1. In a large frying pan, add the onion and bell pepper and sauté them with olive oil over medium heat.
2. Once the onions and bell peppers become tender, add the red chili flakes, boiled peas, lemon zest, garlic and oregano. Stir them all together, and let the vegetables sauté for a few minutes.
3. Now add the cooked elbow macaroni to the vegetables. Mix them all together, and let the macaroni cook with the vegetables for a few minutes.
4. If you wish, add some butter to the macaroni for flavor. Now add salt according to your taste.
Serve the pasta immediately.
