Bacon and Mushroom Pasta is the perfect meal for bacon lovers who are looking for a quick and easy dinner. Filled with a rich and creamy mushroom and bacon sauce, this savory dish is sure to please everyone!
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 ounces penne pasta
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, to garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until it’s crisp. Remove the bacon and set it aside.
- Add the onion and mushrooms to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes until the onion is softened.
- Add the garlic and smoked paprika and cook for another minute until the garlic is fragrant.
- Add the chicken broth, heavy cream, butter and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes until al dente.
- Drrain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce and bacon and toss to combine.
- Garnish with the fresh parsley and serve.
