This amazing dish of pumpkin creme fraiche pasta with sage is a surprisingly simple but incredibly delicious dish. Featuring creamy pumpkin, salty cheese, and wonderfully fragrant sage, this pasta dish is truly one of a kind.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup creme fraiche (sour cream can be used if creme fraiche is unavailable)
- 1/2 cup canned or homemade pumpkin puree
- 2-3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons sage leaves, chopped (you can use dried if fresh are unavailable, but fresh gives a better flavor)
- 1 package (16 ounces) of your favorite type of pasta
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Begin to boil the pasta according to package instructions, or until al dente.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together creme fraiche, pumpkin puree, Parmesan, and garlic powder. Set aside.
3. In a large oven-safe skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add sage and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Add your cooked pasta, and pour in the creme fraiche and pumpkin mixture. Stir everything together until evenly combined.
4. Transfer skillet to preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until top is golden brown. Serve with freshly grated Parmesan.
