Chicken Bacon Mushroom Pasta

- 1/2 cup diced bacon
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons butter

- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound farfalle pasta
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Now that you’ve gathered your ingredients, let’s get cooking. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. In the same pan, melt butter. Add chicken, mushrooms and garlic and cook until chicken is cooked through and mushrooms are tender. Return bacon to pan and set aside.
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta until al dente. Drain.
Creamy Bacon and Mushroom Pasta
In a large saucepan, melt the remaining butter. Add the flour and cook for about a minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add the chicken broth and milk, whisking until smooth. Bring to a boil and cook for a few minutes until thickened. Reduce the heat, add thyme, salt and pepper and stir in the reserved bacon and chicken mixture.
Return the cooked pasta to the pot. Add the chicken and bacon mixture and mix until combined. Simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with parsley before serving and enjoy!
