Creamy Mushroom and Bacon Pasta
This meal is sure to please the whole family! All you need to make it is some mushrooms, bacon, and cream. Read on to find out how to make this delicious dish!
Ingredients:
- 16 oz. package of spaghetti - 3 strips of bacon - ½ cup diced onion - 2 cloves minced garlic - 8 oz. sliced mushrooms - 1 cup half-and-half of cream - Salt and pepper to taste - 2 tablespoons of butter - 2 tablespoons of chicken broth - Shredded Parmesan cheese for topping
Directions
1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until done, about 10 minutes. 2. While the pasta cooks, fry the bacon in a medium skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain the bacon on a paper towel to cool, then crumble it. Set aside. 3. Add the onions and garlic to the bacon drippings in the skillet. Cook until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes. 4. Add the mushrooms and butter to the skillet. Cook until the mushrooms are tender, about 8 minutes. 5. When the pasta is done, drain the water and add the pasta to the skillet with the mushroom mixture. 6. Stir in the cream and salt and pepper. Begin to simmer for about 5 minutes. 7. Add the crumbled bacon and Parmesan cheese. Allow to simmer for 2 more minutes. 8. Serve and enjoy!
