- Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound cooked bacon
- 3-4 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 2 cups gluten-free chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 5 ounces gluten-free penne, cooked according to package instructions
Instructions:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon, and cook for about 5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
- Add mushrooms, garlic, and olive oil. Cook for about 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture, and cook, stirring constantly until combined.
- Slowly stir in chicken broth, white wine, cream and season with salt and pepper to your taste.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Finally stir in cooked pasta and bacon, stirring to combine. Simmer for an additional 3 minutes, until pasta is warmed through. Serve hot.
