This crème fraiche pasta dish is an easy and delicious way to get a flavorful dinner on the table in no time. Combining the rich creaminess of crème fraiche with bacon and sweet peas, this pasta will have satisfied smiles all-round.
Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 8 ounces bacon cut into small pieces
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 tablespoons minced shallots
• 1/2 cup dry white wine
• 2 cups crème fraiche
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 2 cups frozen green peas, thawed
• 1 pound fettuccine
• Freshly minced fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat and cook fettuccine according to package instructions.
2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt butter. Add bacon and cook until bacon is crisp. Add garlic and shallot, and cook for 1 minute. Add wine, stirring to scrape up any browned bits on bottom of pan. Add crème fraiche, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until ingredients are combined and cheese is melted. Add peas and simmer for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
3. Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce in the skillet and toss to coat. Serve with freshly minced parsley sprinkled on top. Enjoy!
