Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 3 cups of mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 slices of bacon (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 cups of cooked pasta
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic, mushrooms and bacon and cook until the vegetables have softened, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute more.
- Pour in the chicken broth and stir until the sauce thickens. Reduce the heat to low.
- Add the pepper and cream and simmer until the sauce thickens and reduces, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cooked pasta until everything is well combined.
