This creamy chicken mushroom pasta is just what it sounds like, creamy and delicious. Take the time to marinate the chicken and you'll be rewarded with an amazing flavor. Creamy Chicken Mushroom Pasta
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 boneless chicken breasts, cubed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons marsala wine
- 300 grams mushrooms, cut into slices
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 package fettuccine
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the chicken cubes, garlic and marsala wine. Allow to marinate for at least two hours, or overnight.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the chicken cubes and cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add the heavy cream, butter, and the reserved marinade. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then add the fettuccine. Cook according to package instructions. Drain the fettuccine and add to the skillet with the chicken and mushroom mixture. Stir until combined.
- Serve the creamy mushroom pasta warm, with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
